Hi JJ – I have a lot of forearm fat, bigger forearms. What causes this?
I’ve been working out faithfully, eating very clean, lots of protein. Still look the same after a year and a half of all of this. Pretty discouraged 😊
Ugh, I hear you — and you’re not alone. I work with so many women who’ve been consistent for months or years and still feel like their body isn’t responding. When that happens, it’s almost never about effort — it’s usually that the body still feels inflamed or unsafe. Once we calm the gut and balance blood sugar, the changes finally start showing up on the outside. You’re not doing anything wrong 💛 Sometimes it’s just time to shift how we support the body, not push harder.
I appreciate that!❤@@MichelleBlackChannel
@@ZiziCaudill Zizi, I’m so glad you said this — because what you’re describing is so common, and yet most women are never told why. When the body’s under stress (especially in perimenopause or menopause), even clean eating and consistent workouts aren’t enough if the gut is inflamed or blood sugar is unstable.
It’s not about doing more — it’s about helping the body feel safe again so it can finally let go. I talk about this a lot over on my channel — you’re definitely not alone 💛
What do you recommend for creatine? How much should I be taking and what kind. I’m 69 and have been working out for over 46 years. I do Barre, band workouts, and weight training.
Thank you! What kind of collagen (form/brand) do you recommend?
So many women think underarm fat is just about toning or cutting calories—but in midlife, it’s often a sign of deeper inflammation or hormone shifts. I’ve seen that when we support the gut and balance blood sugar, the body starts letting go of fat in the places we thought were just “stubborn.” It’s not about doing more—it’s about doing the right things in the right order 💛
I’ve always had toned muscular arms. I used to complain about them because I thought having muscular arms made a woman look masculine. Now, I’ll do anything to have those arms back. I went into menopause a couple of years ago, and now I have flabby arms. I’ve been doing HIT for a couple of months, but there is no change. I needed this video. Hopefully I can start seeing change.
As a doctor, I don’t suggest many books—but The Secret Health Reset is one I tell all my patients to read. It’s really powerful
i read it, amazing book
My HRV is always low. Especially after menopause hit. I also have fibromyalgia and a history of trauma. 😩
