  7. Thank you for the information, what do you think about the walk at home stationary walking, are they as effective as treadmill or outdoor walking? I love the sign on your bookcase, “Discernment”, we all need some of that, one of my petitions to GOD.

    • Outdoor walking is a bit more effective because the ground is not always flat so you have to use different muscles as you go, plus you don’t have the propulsion from a treadmill belt to help with momentum so you’re activating slightly more muscles when walking outdoors, but ALL walking styles are great options! Especially incline walking 🙂

  16. I walk at 4.3 mph and for me (5’3) that is fast and gets my heart rate up to Zone 2 or just below it. I also might do a minute of jogging or incline, then 3.8 for a minute and repeat this for 30 minute cardio session.

  18. Thank you so much for this video! This is very fascinating to me. I’ve owned my own dog walking company for the past 14 years. I never knew how many steps I walked but I assumed it was pretty good. I finally bought an Apple Watch and started tracking and on average I walk 35,000-45,000 a day. The intensity varies depending on what dog I’m walking but I’ve always been over weight. As soon as I got my eating in check (45 days ago) I’ve lost 26 pounds! I guess walking really does help as long as you’re not eating horribly haha
