Real Cause of Excess Belly Fat
Hey, it's JJ and I'm calling out soy. Soy, I am coming after you as a poser health food. Soy burgers, soy hot dogs, soy ice cream, come on! This is ultra-processed, a lot of time with damaged seed oils and lots of sugar posing as a health food (and it's anything but)! Soy's got a whole host of problems.

First of all, in the United States 90% of soy is genetically modified. And when they genetically modify it that means they can spray lots of pesticides on it. So it's a little pesticide sponge, and if you're eating that it's going into you.

We also know that soy can trigger auto-immune disease, that if it's not heavily fermented you're getting phytates & lectins. Phytates block mineral absorption & lectins can cause leaky gut and all sorts of problems with your gut.

Of course we know that soy can also lower thyroid function and those phytoestrogens – we're not quite sure – are they good, are they bad? They're certainly not good for young girls, young boys and men. In fact, a study showed in Hawaii that men who ate tofu three times a week had smaller brains – that is a place where size matters!

Alright, there is no joy in soy!

When it comes to soy, there are a lot of myths and misconceptions out there. Some people believe that soy is a healthy food, while others think it’s harmful. So what is the truth? Here are the 10 worst soy products you should avoid.

1. Soy milk

Soy milk is a popular dairy alternative, but it’s not necessarily healthy. It’s often loaded with sugar, artificial flavors, and other additives. Plus, it doesn’t have the same nutritional benefits as cow’s milk.

2. Soy infant formula

Soy infant formula is another product that you should be wary of. Some studies have shown that it can disrupt hormone levels and lead to developmental problems in infants.

3. Soy protein powder

Soy protein powders are often marketed as a healthy way to build muscle, but they’re not always safe. Some brands contain high levels of aluminum, which can be toxic.

4. Textured vegetable protein (TVP)

TVP is a common ingredient in processed foods, and it’s made from soy. It’s high in sodium and has been linked to health problems like heart disease and cancer.

5. Edamame

Edamame is a type of green soybean that’s often served as a side dish or appetizer. While it’s generally healthy, it’s also high in estrogen, which can disrupt hormone levels.

6. Soy sauce

Soy sauce is a staple in Asian cuisine, but it’s also high in sodium and preservatives. If you’re watching your salt intake, you may want to avoid this condiment.

7. Miso soup

Miso soup is a traditional Japanese dish that’s made with fermented soybean paste. While it can be a healthy option, many brands are high in salt.

8. Tempeh

Tempeh is a fermented soy product that’s popular in Indonesia. It’s often used as a meat alternative, but it can be high in sodium and unhealthy fats.

9. Tofu

Tofu is a common ingredient in vegetarian and vegan dishes, but it’s not always healthy. Some types are processed with unhealthy chemicals, and they can also be high in estrogen.

10. Soy ice cream

Soy ice cream is a dairy-free alternative, but it’s often loaded with sugar and other unhealthy ingredients. If you’re looking for a healthier option, try frozen fruit or yogurt instead.

These are the 10 worst soy products you should avoid. While soy can be a healthy option in moderation, it’s important to be aware of the potential risks. If you have any concerns, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian.

Soy is a controversial food product. Some people swear by its health benefits, while others believe it’s responsible for all sorts of health problems. The truth is that soy isn’t inherently bad for you, but some forms of soy are definitely worse than others.
