  4. Does berberine inhibit muscle synthesis? Should you skip it on strength training days?

    • @margaretfreeman6219 Hi Margaret, there is not enough evidence to support that claim. It’s not a muscle-building supplement but it indirectly supports muscle growth through blood sugar balance (if you’re exercising). It is not necessary to skip days for that purpose.   5. I’ve been using Berberine for about 6 mos & it’s an awesome supplement. I take MCT (C8 & C10) & magnesium taurate – all 3 combo is a powerhouse for your health. I did alot of research to come to this conclusion before I added them to my regiment. I’m really happy that I stuck with it. Working out, changing up your diet, getting your protein, intermittent fasting, that works for me!❤ I also take a good B complex, magnesium bisglycinate, creatine, potassium citrate, & nitric oxide booster. I added those in the last few months & these have really helped me. When I take a shower I always turn it to cold before I finish up, it takes some adjustment but it feels great actually. Lymphatic massage & dry brushing are important too. ❤

    • @@mrsmc2612 it’s suggested that you need the MCT & magnesium taurate to work with the berberine for maximum absorption. Alot of water also, by alot I mean a gallon a day will definitely help.

  7. I used your protein calculator and it seems to suggest I need 1 gram of protein for every lb I weigh. Shouldn’t that be 1 gram per 1 pound of ideal body weight? Because I weigh 223, I’m female, and 5″2. To get that much protein I would have to eat a little over 3 lbs of ground beef a day or a little over 5 large chicken breasts. As a carnivore who ONLY eats meat, fish, and eggs I don’t think I can eat this much protein per day. I usually average between 130 to 150 grams of protein per day and that’s eating a pound of ground beef for one meal and eggs with some kind of meat for my second meal. And I already can’t lose weight eating that much.

    Carnivore has completely turned my health around and any time I try and reintroduce vegetables I get a return of symptoms. So I plan to stay carnivore for the foreseeable future, but unfortunately I don’t experience the weight loss that most people experience on carnivore. Which is why I started following you and one other channel. I’m trying to figure out how to tweak things to allow me to lose weight, because I’m very overweight.

    If you think I should really eat 223 grams of protein per day I could try, but it’s going to push my calories up quite high because I’ll be almost doubling what I already eat each day.

    • If she doesn’t answer you, I watched Tammy’s ageless beauty and Tammy lost a lot of weight by eating protein daily by her ideal weight. Then when you want to maintain it you keep the same protein grams.

    • @@denisemichaels9545 No. When I eat carbs and/or vegetables I get a return of symptoms. I suffered for years and don’t want to go back to that. I would rather feel good. Not to mention I also couldn’t lose weight when I used to eat carbs.

    • I am certainly not a medical professional but I can share what I am doing under the guidance of mine. My own doctor has me targeting 1 gram of protein per pound of lean muscle mass. In my case, it’s about 110 grams/day. Hope this is helpful!

  9. 12 weeks of semaglutide and Ozempic and I lost not one ounce despite decreased appetite even with the focus on protein 😢so doesn’t work for everyone

    • I’ve been on it for 8 months. I’ve lost about 30 pounds. It was slow, but post menopause, plus taking a drug that makes gain weight, I could not loose any weight no what I tried. This drug got rid of my sugar addiction
