If you’re over 35 struggling with adult acne, it’s time to DUMP THE DAIRY!
The same goes for anyone battling rosacea or other skin issues, as well as gas and bloating or frequent sinus infections.
All of these can be symptoms of dairy intolerance.
And while foamy lattes might sound appealing, you’re much better off choosing coconut milk, ricotta, ghee, and other dairy alternatives.
Here’s the deal with dairy ⤵️
In case you weren’t aware, dairy intolerance is one of the most common food sensitivities, and it can cause things like:
❌Weight gain: Multiple studies prove that if you drink cow’s milk, you gain weight. One large-scale research review showed that kids who drank more milk were more likely to struggle with childhood obesity. Surprisingly, that wasn’t because of the increased calories – the children most affected were those who drank lower calorie skim and 1% milk. Because of the hormones and lactose in milk, it makes you fat, even when it’s fat-free!
❌ Insulin resistance: Cow’s milk is relatively low on the glycemic index, which leads many to believe it’s safe for blood glucose issues. However, dairy does affect insulin production, which means it raises your chances of developing insulin resistance. Insulin resistance can mean type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol, and a host of other serious health issues.
❌ Acne or other skin problems: Cow’s milk contains hormones that cause your oil glands to increase production, putting you at risk for skin breakouts and irritation. In fact, dairy is so often responsible for acne that going dairy-free is frequently the first recommendation dermatologists make when patients are faced with problem skin.
I listed more reasons in the reel above 👆🏻

When it comes to weight loss, there are many different opinions on the best way to go about it. Some people say that you should cut out all carbs, while others recommend slashing calories and exercising like crazy. But what if we told you that one of the most effective ways to lose weight was actually as simple as quitting dairy? Believe it or not, ditching dairy can help you drop pounds quickly – and here’s why.
1. Dairy products are high in calories and fat.
If you’re trying to lose weight, cutting out dairy can be a helpful way to reduce your calorie and fat intake. Dairy products are generally high in both of these nutrients, which can contribute to weight gain if consumed in excess. For example, a single cup of whole milk contains nearly 150 calories and 8 grams of fat – and that’s just one serving! By contrast, non-dairy alternatives like almond milk contain far fewer calories and fat, making them a better choice if you’re watching your waistline.
2. Dairy can cause bloating and gas.
Have you ever noticed that you feel bloated after eating dairy? That’s because many people are actually lactose intolerant, meaning they can’t properly digest the sugar found in dairy products. This can lead to uncomfortable symptoms like gas, bloating, and diarrhea – none of which are conducive to a slim figure. If you notice that you feel bloated after eating dairy, cutting it out of your diet may help you feel better and reduce bloat.
3. Dairy can trigger cravings for sugary foods.
If you find yourself constantly craving sweets after eating dairy, it could be because dairy products contain natural sugars that can trigger sugar cravings. For example, a cup of whole milk contains about 12 grams of sugar – that’s more than what’s found in a Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnut! If you’re trying to cut back on sugar, ditching dairy may help you combat cravings and resist temptation.
4. Dairy may contribute to inflammation.
Inflammation is your body’s natural response to injury or infection, but chronic inflammation can lead to a host of health problems, including obesity. Some research has suggested that dairy products may contribute to inflammation, so cutting them out of your diet may help reduce inflammation and promote weight loss.
5. Dairy can be difficult to digest.
If you find that you have trouble digesting dairy, it could be because your body lacks the enzymes needed to break down the lactose found in milk and other dairy products. This can lead to digestive issues like abdominal pain, diarrhea, and bloating – none of which are pleasant (or slimming). If you think you might be lactose intolerant, avoiding dairy may help improve your digestion and promote weight loss.
Dairy products are one of the top sources of unhealthy saturated fat. If you’re looking to cut down on your intake of unhealthy fats and lose weight in the process, then quitting dairy is a great place to start. Give it a try – you might be surprised at the results!
