The fact that a person’s appetite comes back with such a vengeance gives me great pause. Is it a forever drug? With that price tag, seems risky
My best friend has used this over a year & was given no diet advice. Eventually stopped working for her at 8 month mark & she regained part of her weight, even as she continued injections. They recently increased her dose & she’s back to losing weight. No diet advice by dr, she eats very little in a day right now.
If one of the mechanisms action of semaglutide is the increased secretion of insulin, in someone who is already insulin resistant, that can’t be a good thing in the long run. After all, insulin resistance, which is implicated in a whole host of diseases, is the product of chronic overexposure to insulin. So whatever short term benefits semaglutide has, it maybe offset by the damage that is caused by the persistent saturation of the tissues to enormous amounts of insulin.
If I tried it for a month and lost 30 pounds. And then I was done with it is all the weight going to be resistant again?
