Real Cause of Excess Belly Fat
When it comes to bone density, especially for women, walking alone won’t cut it. To truly strengthen your bones, you need to put some axial load on your spine. That means engaging your body in movements that challenge your spine and hips.

Think of it this way: an overhead press – like when you’re putting your luggage in the top compartment of an airplane – is an excellent way to load your spine. 💪 Overhead dumbbell presses are one of the best moves for this!

Don’t forget about the hips – hinging at the hips engages your lower body, and pressing overhead works your chest and triceps. Pull-ups (or even just hanging) are fantastic too! 👏 I encourage women to start doing pull-ups or even just hanging from a bar. It’s an incredible way to improve grip strength, which is actually correlated with all-cause mortality. Meaning, better grip strength = a longer, healthier life.

You don’t need a fancy gym to get started. A set of dumbbells and a TRX machine can work wonders from the comfort of your own home.

  2. I hang and my shoulder impingement is gone!

  3. Thank you! That said we still need to walk but perhaps this clip is a little out of context. I lift and walk. I don’t expect to build massive bone and muscle strength but it’s movement, grounding and adds to my fitness so I will keep tight on walking (thank you very much😉).
