Summer is a time for lemonade. But why settle for store-bought, when you can make it yourself at home? This recipe will show you how to make fresh and easy lemonade in your kitchen! You won't regret giving this tasty drink a try.

This recipe will make enough for 4 servings. Adjust the portions accordingly if you want to make more or less.

Ingredients:
2 cups of water
1 tbsp lemon concentrate (freshly squeezed juice is best)
1/4 cup granulated sugar (add more to taste)
ice cubes or lemon slices to serve

For the sugar syrup:

1/2 cup of water 1 cup of granulated white sugar Bring both ingredients to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool before using. This will be your simple syrup, which you'll use in drinks where you want some sweetness without raw sugar crystals.

Directions for making the simple syrup

Combine the 1/2 cup of water with 1 cup of granulated white sugar in a small saucepan on high heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Let it come to a rolling boil. Continue stirring as it boils for another minute. Remove from heat once boiling. Allow to cool.

Directions for making the lemonade:

Pour 2 cups of water and 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice in a large pitcher. Wash and thoroughly dry 4 fresh lemons. Cut them into thin slices with all seeds removed. Add the sliced lemons to your pitcher of water. Squeeze the juice from one of the washed and dried lemons into your pitcher. Add sugar syrup to taste (1/4 cup is recommended). Mix well. Refrigerate until ready to serve to. Garnish your lemonade with ice cubes, or lemon slices. Enjoy!
