Once we hit our 30s, we start losing muscle—and for women, it’s often worse. Why? Because so many of us were taught the wrong way to take care of our bodies.
I was told in grad school:
👉 “Don’t lift weights until after you lose weight.”
👉 “If you want to be lean, do tons of cardio.”
👉 “Cut calories and eat less.”
Sound familiar?
So for years, we starved our muscles with low protein and overdid the cardio. And now? We’re heading into our 40s and 50s with higher body fat, lower muscle mass, and wondering what went wrong.
Here’s the truth:
💥 Muscle is the organ of longevity.
💥 Building it doesn’t make you bulky, it makes you powerful.
💥 It’s hard to gain, and even harder to keep… so the time to start is now.
If I could go back, I’d tell my younger self: lift heavy, eat protein, and don’t fall for the cardio trap.
But since we can’t go back, we go forward. Together. 💪
