Real Cause of Excess Belly Fat
The scale doesn't tell you what you've lost.

A 150-pound woman with 30% body fat is in a completely different metabolic state than a 150-pound woman with 20% body fat. One's metabolically healthy. One is not.

So when I say you don't focus on weight loss, you focus on getting metabolically healthy, this is what I mean. You get healthy first. You build muscle, you eat enough protein, you nail your sleep, you manage stress. Then your body can actually burn fat.

If you're losing weight but not losing your waist, you're making yourself worse, not better.

That's the tell.

Because it means you're probably losing muscle and that's the opposite of what we want. This is why body composition matters so much more than what the scale says. You could literally go up on the scale while looking better, feeling stronger, and being healthier, all because you built muscle and lost fat. I've seen it happen over and over.
